  • what festiva parts do you have on other car?

has anyone put parts for a festiva on any other vehicle? i had an extra alternator for my festiva lying around, my brother wanted to see if it would fit on his car, hes got a 1964 galaxie with the inline 6, its like the alternator was made for the car, perfect belt line up and wiring a snap, we still need to make/find an adjuster...here is a pic of it, i will get some in the day light tomorrow

Aside from 10mm fastners and batteries whoring around between cars, nothing over here. Good job on the alt.

That cool. Nice install. My dad has a Galaxie too. His is a '62, and it has a Festiva part. We put on chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner. There was a hole in the right hand valve cover for a breather tube. We need a hose to go to the air cleaner, but it wasn't a straight shot up there. A straight length of hose would kink if you bent it so we would needed a formed hose. We looked around the some a bit and there it was...a Festy heater hose. It was just the right diameter too. A little trimming and voila, a custom formed breather tube. It looks like its made for it. You can see it in this pic I had on my 'puter

does it keep it running cool sasquatch?

thats a pretty good idea david88

the reason he wanted to try the alternator was because the generator was starting to give on us and if anyones delt with generator you know its about impossible to get a rebuild kit for one especially the inline 6 version... hes went through i dont know how many alternators to find one that fit right without many to any mods... i was pretty amazed it lined up perfect and the pully was the right kind even
