  • So I'm driving down the road

I was on my way to visit my Mom last night talking to Willie (Geneva dirt) when all of a sudden at 50 MPH I'm like "oh ____" there's a big deer in front of me. I completely locked up the brakes and went into the oncoming lane! Luckily I missed the deer. It was a close call and all I hear on the phone is Willie laughing! I am glad I missed it, I have recently put alot of work in the car and this would have sucked. I hit a deer with the same car about a month ago and only bent the plate and broke the headlight adjuster pieces!

A year ago last April................I had just bought my '04 Mustang GT (less than a week prior) and was driving home after work. I had just gotten into the outskirts of town at just after 6:00 and was driving 45 MPH past Wal-Mart when, from the corner of my eye, I saw a deer come streaking across the open parking lot, through the ditch and jumped over the hood of the car before I had time to react or even slow down! What are the odds? Broad daylight in a populated area in late spring. Not even a scratch, but I could have counted the Ticks on his belly. Had I been driving a touch faster I would have caught it in the windshield.

I determined shortly afterward that the Good Lord was telling me, "I gave you the car you always wanted, but don't lose your priorities or I'll take it away!"

at least you were not talking to FestYboy,
I have heard that the willows can jump into the next lane too

hahahahahahaha.....Man...we were talking about this guy named "George" when I hear
OH ****.....then the sound of squealing tires....a little silence....then...dude....I almost hit a #@%$$#^$ deer....I asked...but you missed right, he said yes, and I began laughing my butt off. Was pretty funny since the Festy and Brian didn't get hurt.

I had a similar experience the other day. Only a little scarier (in my book)

coming home around 1am, heading down a 4 lane highway on my bike, 80-90 mph... just came around a pickup truck when an 8+ point buck jumps across in front of me... That woulda sucked!

When I'm cruising the back roads, that's my worst fear. There are lots of deer in my area and they just appear out of the woods like magic.
