  • where does the block heater plug in?

a couple more questions for you festiva know-alls...

my new festiva has a block heater wire coming out the grill, but it is not plugged in to the block. there's a small female end that should plug in somewhere under there, but i can't seem to find where. did block heaters come factory on some '90 festivas, or is this someone's diy work? looks factory to me, the way the wire is hooked up to the frame with plastic wire holders...

i beleive block heaters are only on canadian festivas, if you look on the back of the engine right beside the oil filter, you'll see the block heater and where the wire connects onto it

      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

The block heater is normally installed in a freeze plug opening.
