  • Interchangeable parts tab for the Customized Modifications section

OK, so I have read numerous forums about parts from other cars that you can swap out and many people asking for a tab and I can't find it if there is one. Just to save some of the newbies (I am one myself , I just need some custom parts to make it my own ) some time I am going to post all my findings throughout the searching......

I was trying to create a list so I know what to look for this weekend at the JY and it's a little cold (4 for the high ) so I don't want to be out there any longer than I have to. I just figured I would save some of you the time searching! If anybody has any other ideas please post, and if we could get a tab added that would be even better! Is there any other steering wheels that I can swap out?

He said span. As in he doesn't know if it is just the '89 or other years as well.

Protege steering wheels are nice. I grabbed one out of an early 90s DX that did not have cruise, so it worked perfect in the festiva and feels so much better than the stock wheel.

Steering wheel out of a Mazda MX-6 works nicely too...and Mercury Tracer seats are an easy swap.

Did you mean "door map pocket"? I've looked and didn't see a post about the interchangeability of the MPV door panels....would be a heck of a mod if it were, eh?

How about front and rear bumper covers, and skirts with trimming and reglassing? It's more popular on the aspire site. I was wondering what people have confirmed (and find acceptable) to use for the festivas.

That is a good question and I would be highly interested in what is swappable. Also I personally have no experience switching out the early civic dash panel that was just me repeating what I read in another post.

This is where I got the info on the clusters....

OK, so I just got back from the JY and it was a good day . I got a perfect condition escort dome light, clear lenses from a camry (they should fit but it will be TIGHT!), a shift knob from a escort (i plan to go back and get the center console) and the heater/radio bezel. Now I have a couple questions . How in the hell do you get the window cranks off?!!! I found some really really nice ones in the protege that looked just like mine and they didn't have the screw through the middle like I am used to and I know the Festiva doesn't either. Also will the stock rims from a lets say 93 escort lx fit without the aspire swap? They are 13's or 14's but they were in excellent shape. They are the chrome 6 spokes with ford center caps. I was also curious if someone had a walk through on pulling the escort center console. I am heading back tomorrow (with more tools ) and plan on pulling the console and hopfully the window cranks if I get a response. Thanks guys!
