The Escort rims will not fit a stock Festiva. You need to do the Aspire swap.

The window cranks are held on with a circlip. Rap a shop rag around where it connects to the door panel and circle the handle. The clips usually come off easy that way.

Thanks for the heads up! I also saw a ford escort grill that looked like it would be really close to fitting. I was almost like a billet grill. Has anyone tried to pull this one off?

I dont think the mercury clocks work do they. The mounting ears are at the wrong angle like the 323 clocks.

The rag thing works great on the window crank clips, but be advised the little buggers like to pop and fly. I've spent alot of time trying to find them in the past. Great list, I am going to try to find some of those clear signal lenses. I think the shift knobs from most Hondas will work, I know the thread is the same.

I believe that they work but they don't come with the cover or something (I stole this list from 4-5 other posts in hope of a sticky). Also is there a car that has clear corner lenses stock that fit? I was looking for something close today and struck out. Tomorrow should be a better day once I grab a propane torch and a REAL screw driver. O and of course a shop rag I still haven't gotten any help on the escort console

Something else to add to the list..... I pulled off the door handles, window cranks and arm rests off of a Protege (93 I think and it was the back doors) and they all "seem" to be the right fit. Once I put them on I will update the first list. The Protege intemediate wipers looked just like the ones I see in everyone's cars on here, does anybody have experience with switching them? Oh and it seems that the pull knobs for the rear seat from the 2nd gen Escorts work for the Festiva. I really like the looks of the Aspire grill but I measured it and it will NOT fit. Speaking of which, I am really wanting to do a REAR Aspire swap. I was curious what all I should pull and if it will still function on having the rear end switched. And I found a XR2 that hasn't been touched yet, maybe when the snow clears and I can get a cherry picker back there I will pull the motor!

I have protege handles and window cranks (I think...might be 323) in my car. The handles leave a little bit of a gap, but are perfect otherwise. If you do the aspire swap you gotta go all the way and do the front too!

Damn, thanks for the heads up on the Aspire swap! I really only need the rear end to put on the rims that I want but I guess I will have to wait awhile for that one. These cragars are shined and ready to go but they will just have to collect dust for awhile . One other thing that I was looking for was clear corner lenses from another car that will fit a Festy. Does anybody know of anything? I already got the clears for the bumper but it would look ALOT better if the corners were clear.

Several older mazda models used similar window cranks and door handles. Some with chrome parts.

Thanks Fresh! I saw a set of the door handles but the ones I looked at didn't have the backing piece. I will keep my eyes open! Any ideas on the corners? Anybody?

only corners from over seas. The clocks do not work as Fresh stated. The ears are wrong angel. You could do the rear beam and the fronts later on the Aspire swap....others have.

Thanks for the info! I will be keeping my eyes open for a set on ebay.uk. I am looking for the true clear ones without a bump (I think they look better). And I have yet to see a clock in any of the vehicles listed so I wouldn't know from experience YET. BTW am I the only person on here that actually likes the Festiva steering wheel? I have looked at the Mazda ones and i think they look cheesy.

Escort dome light was mentioned and didnt need a mod, just the right wires plugged in. If the light doesnt work right, just need to switch the wires

I got a perfect condition escort dome light, clear lenses from a camry (they should fit but it will be TIGHT!), a shift knob from a escort (i plan to go back and get the center console) and the heater/radio bezel. Now I have a couple questions . How in the hell do you get the window cranks off?!!! I found some really really nice ones in the protege that looked just like mine and they didn't have the screw through the middle like I am used to and I know the Festiva doesn't either. Also will the stock rims from a lets say 93 escort lx fit without the aspire swap? They are 13's or 14's but they were in excellent shape. They are the chrome 6 spokes with ford center caps. I was also curious if someone had a walk through on pulling the escort center console. I am heading back tomorrow (with more tools ) and plan on pulling the console and hopfully the window cranks if I get a response. Thanks guys!
Use a towel, rag, or a seatbelt works! Slide the rag or belt down along the underside of the crank until it slides under the round part of the crank, slide rag or belt back and forth until the crank falls off. There is a wire "C" clip holding the crank on, with the open end of the "C" facing the crank. A back and forth motion with rag or belt catches the clip and pushes it off. Sometimes the clip will shoot off, never to be seen again, so I try to hold a rag around the crank to prevent that. The clips are available at part stores in the "help" sections.
