well the logical option would be to just drive this one and leave it original.

^^ True that. Don't tear that one up. And whatever you do, do not let it fall into Levitan or Freshtiva's evil clutches.

Kidding guys. Looked at a 93 yesterday. 28K miles. Guy who owns it bought it after it sat for 4 or 5 years, popped a new battery in it, and fired it up. Didn't get very far before the crappy gas clogged the fuel pump. Put in a new pump, did some kind of stupid wiring, and torched a bunch of wires in the engine bay. No idea what he was trying to accomplish. Car is sitting at a shop near me now, the owner dropped it off, and apparently disappeared. Shop hasn't heard from him in over 6 months. My number is at the top of their list if the guy decides he just wants rid of the car.

This car, BTW, is not the surprise referenced in another thread. That's a different car.

      1988 L - 232K miles Batstiva
      1989 L - 247K miles Slick
      1990 L - 281K miles Orphan Annie
      Let the hoarding begin!!

Thats a good choice. Its what Im doing with my 93. Its basically original save a few minor items.(Dont quote the thread where I said I was leaving it completely original.. I lied)
But the 88 is going to be more towards extreme. Not a racer but hopefully itll hold its own when needed. More of a cruiser. Good looking, good sound, comfortable and plenty quick.

The best thing that could happen to that car would be for it to fall into my hands. It would have a great life with others of its kind.

Did they really make "millions of them" ?

I believe the actual production numbers were between 500k -750k for the entire production run. But I havent been able to confirm those numbers.
