Had a chance to get a fairly decent shape 323 GTX with a bad rod knock last weekend. Drug it home on the trailer. Runs, but has very little left in the motor. Luckily I have an extra motor for it. The Festy swap is being put on hold for a short bit. This engine swap has to happen first, then strip the Capri I bought to drop all those parts into the Festy. Busy, busy, busy...

^^X2!! I would love to have a GTX one day
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I had already picked up a b6t motor and trans from a 1992 Capri. That was destined for my Festiva. Since the 323 has a HORRIBLE rod knock, the engine is actually going into the 323. A few weeks ago I had a guy offer to sell me his Capri with a b6t running and driving for $500. It is in poor shape and not worth saving as a complete car, so it is being swapped into the Festiva. Will likely be keeping both cars for now as I have all the parts, just need some weather and time. In the end I will have a spare b6t to rebuild as well as a spare Capri trans.
