Looks like a damaged belt. Around here we call a tire like that a "Maypop" because it may pop at anytime LOL :mrgreen:

Belts can break for no apparent reason. Sometimes it is just poor manufacturing. I had a brand new tire go less than 5000 miles and break a belt. It was not obvious till they tried to balance it and they found it. Got a new tire under warranty.The Festiva Store

The back tires are the ones that were on the car when I bought it. God knows how many miles they have on them. I know I've put 10K+ miles on them since I got the car. That particular tire has done stupid things in the past. Randomly go flat for no apparent reason, blah, blah, think it was just its time.
