Did the loose cam sprocket problem ever get fixed on SHO engines?

That was on the later v/8 engines and the cam problem was never corrected. There was a class action law suite against ford but it has been tied up in court for years and is pretty much dead.

The earlier V6 engines are better built and designed. Considering it was designed in the mid 1980s it design still hold up today.

When I get my house all fixed up then I will work on the car. It will definitely be hitting the dyno and track soon. The guy actually went down to 5k on the car... a steal at that price in my opinion.

It will also be at the 1st annual "Sunshine Meet" March 20th 2010

Not sure if I would let anyone else drive it. I've had a few friends wreck some cars and it's just a horrible situation for everyone involved.

I'm glad your coming to the meet and I wouldn't let anyone drive that it's just too rare.

Yeah with a car like this one, it's not really a matter of the replacement value...it's finding another one....

Well it is actually just a home built festiva, not a true ShoGun.
