Driving backroads near home, spotted this:

Stopped and knocked on the door. Woman said she was a mail carrier and drove this car. She was turning into her driveway and a pickup behind her was going to pass her. She barely lived.

Thats the worst looking festiva i ever seen in a yard that nice...

That also reminded me, my Grandpa was in an accident while he was driving his Festiva, he got T-Boned on the passenger side and his Festiva was totaled. He had bought that car brandnew and had just payed it off when that happend.

Her and her husband are mail carriers. They both have been using Festivas for many years. I think there were 8 cars in the yard and he was driving one when I was there. None of the 8 were running. I was there last fall. Planning to go back in the spring to see about buying a few.

The coners can fade and turn clear, I saw some on a beat up Festiva at the Kmart parking lot the other day.

Yeah, they were probably faded naturally. I'd just rather have the faded ones instead of the orange. I've got the faded taillights, so I need the corners to match!

Maybe. I haven't talked to him yet, but I did get a phone number. She said he sells some parts, but I doubt he will let the cars go until he retires.
