What's This Switch For ?????

I've got a 93 Festiva with an automatic trans. There is a slide switch just to the right and forward of the shifting lever on the floor console. I don't have an owners manual, and was wondering if someone knows what this is.......

it is for removing the transmission out of park with the key off.

mine has never worked properly, must be an adjustment

No, you had to get the "Offensive Convenience Package" for the missile launcher function.

My slide switch doesn't seem to work either. Maybe I should try the mallet?

Yeah in the standard package the slide switch activated the cloaking device. You see most of those in the scrapyard still attached to the SUV's that hit 'em.

Could be. My Festiva is a 5-speed, no A/C, so I really have no idea what they do(or what they look like for that matter). :lol:

Or maybe what it does is swings wings out the sides, a fin comes projecting out of the back end with a jet engine, a spring springs you up into the air and it's all automated, once it springs, the jet engine takes off and off you go, flying over traffic, and then if you happen to want to use the Festi as a boat, you just land in water, and it transforms into a boat and then the jet motor turns into a waterjet and projects water and pushes you through the water at supersonic speeds. Don't flip the switch back though, you'll sink.
