hey everyone, new here, new to festiva's but not fords.
mostly into 4x4ing myself but a buddy and i want to build up a little car into something we can easily rip around.
we figured the festiva would be a great platform to start with, small, good milage, and they look sweet!

what years would be best for something to slowly mod into a quick little cruiser for the streets?
the one thing we absolutely need is a manual trans.

now we have a few plans for the car as it sits right now. the are all just cosmetic as we havent picked one up yet so we dont know what we will end up with or what to get engine/tranny wise.
    plans:
-satin black...i am a mechanic/body tech; no newby to wrenches or paint guns. i have some satin black left over from when i painted my old street truck, so thats what the fest will sport.
    -grill like this

-13" rims off my buddy's old VW rabbit: look like this

    -lower it
    just cut the springs
    -eventually a B6 turbo

now i would like to say we are on a budget, not really a set budget; everything is just as cheap as we can possibly do it. what would be the best suited year and options for our plans?

90-93 would be your best bet cause they are EFI so any motor swap will be eaiser to do...

loving the wheel choice!!! i love mesh wheels

ooo and also add where you live, its nice to see where everyone is from and if anyone is near you then they can help you with what ever you need....

you'll need adapters for the VW wheels, or do the Aspire swap.
