    Back from a long walk...

    Got picked up by family this morning after spending two weeks hiking 135 miles of the AT (Springer Mountain, GA to Nantahala outdoor center, NC).

    We had a great time! Cold, some long days, too much snow, but we had a great time just the same. Took it slow because we knew the weather wasn't going to cooperate, and its dark by 6:30 so that shortens the day quite a bit...

    I'm going to head to bed shortly, but I'll post a few of my fav pics here and a link to 118 more of them at the bottom:

    My camera died half way thru... so those are just pics from week 1. I'll update when I get Joe's pics from week 2!

    Looks like fun, but waaaay too cold for me.

          Looks like you had a great time! Thanx 4 the pix. Get collegeboi to go with you next time; I'm sure a Hawaii guy wouuld like to spend a couple of weeks in the snow.

                    See it and so it now. One never knows what tomorrow may bring. Did the entire Appalachian trail, in four stages over 8 years, in the late 50's and early 60s'. Will never forget it and wish I could do it again. Don't know if winter or early spring is better for a long trek.
                    I hate being Bi-Polar, it's awesome.
