  • Brake and suspension parts quality

Ebay often has "Lomandi" rotors and "kevlarmetallic" front brake pads for sale. They're from a store in Canada.

I was wondering what all experiences you guys have had with different parts sources dealing with brakes and suspension.

I'd tend to go with Bendix and Moog, but maybe I'm just spouting brand names?

How good do you think the Lomandis would be, etc? Anything to watch out for in particular? Low quality? Really good quality? Etc.

One thing to keep in mind would be using Aspire brake parts on a Festiva. Less mass to stop, so would "so-so" quality stuff be actually quite acceptable in this application?

If I were doing up a performance oriented setup, I'd want very good to the best quality stuff, however. Just want to know what I could "get away with" if I wanted to keep it as cheap as possible.

    Thanks,

    Karl

HEY! SOMEONE'S GOTTA HAVE AN OPINION HERE!

I almost forgot I posted this.

What about "kevlarmetallic" vs. "semimetallic' vs. "ceramic" pads?

my 92 runs MCB kevlar pads on the front and rear which are $30AU a pair, these are god like, considering their on drum brakes i dont have a problem stopping or braking hard when i have to but i dont know if they do them for aspires.

suspension wise i've got 4 AC DELCO shocks which are cheap but offer a smooth firm ride and feels so much more stable and handles 10 times better, ford australia wanted $1300 for 4 new shocks but i picked these up for $228 +postage all off ebay, head to www.ebay.com.au if your interested, i'm sure they'd ship to you
