Too steep for me, but depends on how bad you want it!

You might post a [WTB] and add your location to your profile and I'll bet you can get another engine much cheaper than $1500.

X2 I'm sure someone could help you out in finding another engine, unless you really want that one, then go for it.

One thing to consider.. it's a '93 with (it appears) not a lot of options on it. Driver's seat has a cover, which means I'd check that for damage. Looking at the paint job on it, I'd check it for bondo on the fenders.

I'd say that you're looking a little high on this price. (I'm looking at an ad on Kijiji up here for a '90 Festiva for CDN$400, private sale, similarly equipped, and comes with extra parts).

        '09 Ford F-150
'80 Chrysler LeBaron Town and Country
        '80 Volvo 240 2dr coupe

        '93 Festiva GL
225996.9 kilometers = 140428.0 miles on the odometer
        ...and definitely more soon..

We're in tight with one of the local yards that may have the engine you need. He ships as well. We may be able to get you a decent deal on a motor shipped. Check your local yards too and just get a manual motor and install a flexplate on it for the auto. I'm sure someone on here has an extra flexplate or you should be able to get a brand new one pretty cheap.

If your '89 auto specific engine parts are all good (most importantly, your '89 distributor), just get a decent replacement engine and swap the parts you need.
