  • xr2 for sale

i was talking to someone at a meet today and they said they have a capri turbo they are trying to sell.

i know i need lots of xr2 parts so im trying to decide if its worth it. i would solely be buying it for parts.

its a 92 capri xr2 with 115k miles runs good the top isnt in great shape. he wants $1200 for it. is that a good deal?

I think that is a little high, just to use for parts.

I just paid half of that for trans. axles. mid shaft, flywheel and clutch. I think it's worth it because you'll get quite a bit for the runnin b6t imo.

There is alot of little stuff that you can sell to Capri guys though, like headlights, turn signals, speedo cables, the trunk wing, that little stuff can add up to cover the $1200.

Capri forums ....... part it. And it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep a b6t for a spare motor if you ever nee to work on or modify yours. I have to have spares. I break stuff.

sounds like a good idea to buy it and part it. DOOOO ITTT!!

OOH and if it doesn't have a title i'd be droppin the price like MAD! you could even offer 1000 with title or like 500 without. don't get screwed with title fights. they suck

Trannies are getting harder to find too. I have a cable in euro and a cable for casper, and a hydro spare with a Damkid adapter on the way

                      I found a pair of XR2's for $1900. 1 turbo 5-speed, 1 auto n/a. Sold together. I'm like... $$$$$$$$$$$$?! Oh, blown turbo in the 5-speed.

okay...not trying to be rude here but I vote for finding parts cars reasonably closer to PA. I'll see what I can do here in a few minutes...

I just thought it would put the price into perspective for people.

yeah I agree, the ebay one actually didn't even open for me. I guess i could have copied the number and searched it in ebay's search field so I have no idea where it is. I'm just saying in general...sorry for the mis

here is one I'm guessing a FL car (but is in MD)...which means NO RUST (hopefully) for 1000 bucks. turbo, etc. http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/1630193717.html

I also found one in "south" Reading, PA (if you post a WTB there maybe?) for 500 bucks. didn't have a year and it was a "page not found" so IDK if it's been sold or went expired. And from some of the prices I'm seeing for these 1200 bucks is GOOD for this car. I've seen them from 2500-4000. just depends on options and condition I guess.
