ok so i didnt want to hijack these guys threads...

what is the point in getting rid of your antenna? do you not listen to FM any more so you just say screw the antenna?

who in their right mind takes a radio OUT of a car? i cant drive in silence.. im just confused.. any enlightenment?

Some people don't use their radio antenna because alot of people have XM or a iPod that they plug into their radio, as for the Radio delete some use it and move their radio down to the cubby, so some don't totally get rid of the radio.

Drag car and I'm mounting switches and LEDs were the radio was. Also don't care if I have a radio I drove my 323 hatch without one for a year. Also can't hear them over my exhaust.

I'm getting rid of my antenna because I don't like the location on the A pillar and I never listen to the radio. I only use my iPod and I can't stand listening to the same 10 songs played in rotation between the commercials on FM.

My Festy hasn't had a radio since I bought it and the only time I miss it is when someone is riding with me. When I drive alone I use the iPod and earbuds

I use an FM portable radio at the moment (because my Festiva came sans radio), but I usually don't listen to local stations either. I use it to catch the signal from the FM transmitter I've got hooked to my MP3 player and listen to my own stuff.

I do want to put a radio back in the car.. but it'd be entirely for this reason.. listening to tunes on the road of my own. (Also, when you drive from Edmonton to BC via Hinton, there's a good space where there's no stations anyways).

Road trip with the Festiva one of these days.
