    motor swap

    So I toasted the motor on the way home tonight
    which means I'll be dropping in the b8 ahead of schedule so anyone in the Bloomington area that wants to help let me know I plan on kicking off Tues and hope to have it running Friday
    Catastrophic failure - oil puked everywhere no pressure and immediately started overheating - had to run it up hill for a block to coast downhill and safely out off traffic

    PS water pump pulley was intact this time and the clutch was holding strong

    Bummer... I hope the B8 works out great, that's almost 50% more motor.

      I hope the swap goes well for you. Being out of a ride hurts, that's why I keep my 89 Burban going. Sucks gas, but it hauls my, well you know. LOL
