Great day at the junk yard today. I drilled/chiselled off the ECU bracket and peeled the seat cover off an LX today. Good news, It had both swoopies with intact ears! Bad news, the underseat tray rails were empty!
Good news, I found an old rotary RX-7 with a cruise control switch. Bad news, it started to rain and I didn't have time to pull all the cruise wiring to the steering stalk. The sunroof was gone so I put an engine hood over the hole.
I also picked up a nice set of manual Festiva belts. Next time I go back, it will be for all interior pillar trims.Comment

Ha! Looked like a heat gun electrical taped to a metal post. Probably jury rigged to keep rubber compound soft or squeazible to keep flowing.
As long as nothing extremely flammable is nearby, I don't see a problem with it. OSHA might, though!
