Long Day, but a fun one!

Got my 89LX home, took all the interior out and installed it in my 88L. So here are some pictures of the car before I started. Not sure what I am doing with the rest, but it has a sweet running 1.3L with an automatic. I have always wanted a Festy truck, so I may build one. Or I may sell the running shell, I dunno. Here are a few pictures anyway.

Um, The body is clean, just dented. It is actually a car that should be built. Since it's an FI car, it would be good for a swap. That is why I am on the fence about what to do. I don't want to scrap a perfectly good car when they are getting harder to find. I wish I had some extra money, I would get the one in Kill Devil Hills. It's an FI with a 5-speed.

Keep in mind that it is an '89 auto. That ecu has 3 plugs and can be difficult to swap.

yea, you don't really want to swap into an 89 auto... i vote for B3 powered truck!

Ok I am new at this so help me out. When I said swap, I meant putting the FI in my current Carby car. I figured I had the entire harness so it was a no brainer. I am just thinking out load right now, this isn't going to happen soon. I am moving to Hertford,NC in May so I am not starting any new projects right now.

You could just swap the motors and not worry about swapping harnesses and stuff. Just swap the intakes and make the FI motor a Carb motor, probably less work then swapping harnesses and making a Carb car a FI one.

'89 autos are one in their own. They are different in many aspects. I think all the parts could be swapped over but not worth the time when there is a better setup out there. If your doing the work to swap in a harness it might as well be one that will adapt to many motors. I bought the cleanest festiva I've ever seen about 2 years ago. It was an '89 auto. After looking at it and working on it to get it running, I let it go. I did keep a few things

That is pretty much what I had in mind. I want a B6-E and they are somewhat plentyful still. Then later on I may add on a turbo, nothing huge. I don't race the car, so I just want a little passing boost every now and again.
