okay i found an engine i want to put in my festiva... it's from an escourt gt well it's in one of those yards where you give them a list or tell them what you need and they go get it for you so i need a list of every part needed to do the swap that i should get from the yard i don't really know much about the engine area so thats why i need your help also if i could get a list on what i need to get for a auto to manual swap that would be great to it would help me alot...

if your doing an auto to manual swap your gonna need to see if the tranny thats coming outta the egt is either a cable or hydro clutch. im pretty sure itll be a cable (someone else chime in and correct me if im wrong) and get a stock festy clutch pedal assembly, clutch, brake, and gas pedal...the whole thing. as far as the egt motor, well i really am not sure what all you would need but im sure someone that has done the swap will pop in and post of all the things you will need....and most importantly, do ALOT of reading/research, and take your time

EGT's are hydro not cable.

engine....vaf....tranny....iac plug.....ecu.....distributor.....distributor plug.....motor mounts.....shift linkage.....whole wiring harness (because ur car is an '89 auto)

If you are starting with an '89 auto it would be a smart move to buy a running escort gt or protege lx. Your gonna need alot more than most because the '89 auto has a different wiring harness than the '90 and newer festys.
