  • bumper replacement options/fantasies

being new to the festiva hobby, i can not speak with conviction or experience. but, i have a good eye for detail and what just looks good.
i would have to go back through the posts, but i have seen some interesting front end transplants. somewhere i saw a mazda set of lights and grille.
someone else has an isuzu stylus, another has an old honda civic front.

my one complaint of the festiva from the outside would only be the cheapness and outdated look of the bumpers. some of the smooth euro kits are nice, really nice.

but after the one with the isuzu front and rear bumpers, i almost did not make it home because i was paying more attention to bumpers and their relative shape more than the drive home. but, i came to a few conclusions as to what would make for interesting and downright beautiful bumper transplant victims.

firstly, there was a toyota van that had a cool bumper that could be be cut down to work. then, believe it or not, a nineties cadillac's bumper was perfect. it would most definitely have to be cut for horizontal length. but the most perfect one i have found front and rear would be a first generation scion xb. has anyone ever used photoshop or actually seen this done? my wife is all freaked out i replace a fender, door, parts in general, so i am out of the running to do this. anyone have an opinion?

ps, if you have a non stock front bumper, valance, rear, etc....could you post a pic? tell us what it is from and any mods you had to do....thanks!!

Lanemeyer, I'll take those bumpers then. I still haven't found one to get the bumpers from.
