Everything you mentioned is manufacturer specific. I would hope they are the best at their own game. Remember the modis is also a 4 channel lab scope and has option for a gas analyzer add on. Dont forget you get troubleshooter with snapon scanners too. Try out the new troubleshooter software with the modis. No need to go to the computer to check onDemand, alldata or wpassist for sensor values, wiring diagrams, waveform patterns, and a bunch of other info. I am not fond of the snapon company anymore but I will defend their scan tools.
Never had euro software though. I use a techII for saabs and a Launch x-431 for everthing else from across the pond. Its a PIA to use but it gets in there and has no problems with their can bus mess. Volvo is a different story. I hate new volvo. If you plug in a scanner it doesn't like it will shut down the ecm/tcm/bcm and you have to do a hard reset.

^^^ yeah, I know they're brand-specific. But they all also do generic OBDII. I don't like Snap-On's guided diagnostics. I find them clunky, and occasionally confusing for my students. Ford IDS has a 4 channel scope function. OTC Genisys has a 5-gas add-on that works much better than Snap-On's unit. The Solus may change my mind, but right now, I still HATE Snap-On diag tools! I haven't had an opportunity to use Launch products yet, but they look nice. We also just bought 4 Noregon units, and they rock!

I'm looking at the entire diagnostic system. I don't have any experience yet. I'm pressuring them to send me an eval unit. We would be buying 20 units if we like it.
Yes, that's what I was talking about, unfortunately it's apples and oranges. Just hoping to get some good info, thanks just the same.

all the MODIS has the SOLUS doesn't is a multimeter
