  • Saipa 141, an Iranian Pride!

I was messing around in our archives and galleries section when I came across a Polish web forum that looks a bit like ours (only smaller). Since I can't read Polish, I was mainly looking for pictures. Here's some pics I found:

    Strona użytkowników Kia Pride

I then typed in "Saipa 141" to Yahoo and got this:

The Saipa 141 is an Iranian modified Pride.

Here's what appears to be their earlier version of a Pride, the Saba:

And here's another one, the Nasim:

    And the Nasim Safari:

Differing in body style, no doubt. Here's an Iranian business article on the Saipa, with a pic or two:

And finally, for those of you just dying to know about Iranian automoblie manufacturing history, here's a primer, with lots of pics:

    Cool, huh?

I wonder how many other Festiva variants there are in the world we don't yet know about?

Its amazing just how popular these little cars are throughout the world. Its obvious that long after they quit selling them in the US they kept producing/selling them in other parts of the world.

      'Cause they're simple!

No gyro-stabilitracked pneumatically climatoligically controlled computerized fuzzy dice in sight!

However, I'm working on a digitized titanium widget for the thingamajig that can be added to the optional electronical heliostatically controlled thermobajong under the carpeting.

Didn't know it was even there, didja?

and the Kinibeller pins are comon to both sides!

I was glad, however, to see the Aspires gain the Turbo Encabulator. With its 41 monestically spaced grouting brushes and regurative pearl-well. I still can't figure out how they tankered that reciprocating dingle-arm?

I belive it has something to do with the position and timing of the flux capacitor.

Not sure though since I don't have the shop manual in front of me.

I learned that the hard way. Mine was off by 1/10 of a degree and it caused the harmonic inverter to overheat....

did it suffer from sinusoidal depleneration?

Yes. It got so bad I upgraded to a wobbulator. It was worth every penny of it, in my opinion.
