  • What made you choose your bp or b6t?

Just curious to see why people chose a bp over a b6t or vice versa?

Also does anyone know where that comparison of the different engines and hp ratings was?

I couldn't decide. So I have 1 of each. The BP is 129 hp. I thought the B6t was too actually.

BP is 127 hp and B6t is 132hp I think. B6t has more torque but BP has a broader powerband I think?

I have a friend who has had a few EGTs over the years, so I'm already somewhat familiar with the BP.
Also- hate to beat a dead horse but there's no replacement for displacement.

I swap the BP to have the possibility to put some BPT stuff on it like I'm doing right now.

bp is less rare thatn the b6t (at least where i live), the hp possibilitys are far greater concidering they start at about the same hp, less wiring like greg said, more aftermarket parts... the list goes on for me

I found the BP swap to be extremely easy wiring wise and it gave plenty of power, the B6T swap is a bit more involved for wiring but i ran 1.5 seconds faster with the B6T then i did with a BP, but i did have different trannies (G series compared to F series)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
