Checking out a new angle for donors on craigslist. In so cal there are quite a few kia's with bp's with 5 speeds. The prices are higher than I'd want to pay, unless i was going to keep and mod the kia...did the smaller SOHC 1.6's come with F-series or G-series transmissions?

Ok the difference between the Kia Sephia and Mazda 323 so far is that the clutch for the..

        1.6 Sephia is a 7 7/8" OD, 7/8" spline OD, with 20 teeth...

        The 323 has 7 1/2" OD, 7/8" spline OD, with 20 teeth.

The BP Sephia has a 8 7/8" OD, 1" spline OD, with 22 teeth.

the 1.6 i believe was a 1994. The others with bp's were a range up to 1997, yes i understand they're obd-2. If i was switching out a whole harness I'd actually value an obd-2 system as its easier to find bad sensors that kill mpg and driveability. You can also run one of those nifty scangauges to monitor everything and teach you to drive even better.

I don't have a "barn of parts" so if i was taking a kia for its engine, the transmission and clutch come right along with it.
