I have nothing against anything anyone wants to do to their Festy, but I feel the more practical solution is a Class A trailer hitch and a small trailer, keeping the Festiva intact. This is much more versatile.

I have a 08 F250 diesel pickup for that. I just think it would be pretty cool to make the festy a truck. No one around these parts have ever seen one

Why not just find a festy that's been wrecked in the front and make a trailer out of the back half?

That's most likely true. El Camino's have the same hvac as a regular Chevelle, etc, including a station wagon, but with a comparatively small area to heat/cool. You could freeze a chicken in a 'Camino.
If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

Worth noting that I was considering that but the Festy I found is just too nice to cut up.

I think that a 2000-up Celica would make a deadly cool truck conversion though. Once my fab/body skills start coming along I think I'll do that.

The mans name is Mark Mich and the reason i know is he is the fork truck driver that delivers parts for the machine i opperate,do you see the smile on this guys face,it's there 24/7 as for the Festy pickup he did it all him self top to bottom, paint and all,if it's Festiva related he knows it.Black Beauty if you have questions P.M. me and i'll get his number for you.I know i'm bragging about this guy but he is that good of a person, heck when i went to the junk yards for parts they gave me Marks number.Take the plunge and build a pickup.

The circled area is one reason why I think my buddy Jack's festiva truck trumps all others.

He lengthened it. That one thing makes the bed look "normal" it makes it functional as well. Nobody else has done this.

That looks sooooo natural. The extension does it. Like you say, "Trumps all others" in looks alone. As a P-U, the Festiva is just too short behind the rear wheels to balance out aesthetically. (Aesthetically = 50¢ word.)
