  • Seatbelt question?¿?

Yes, I searched for a while.. not finding what I am looking for.. anyways..

Correct me if I am wrong..

Up to 89 they did not have the auto set belts , and they were carbed engines..

90-93 were auto seat belts and were efi?

And they never got autobelts in Canada.

Or you can convert your auto belts to manual. I put in front seat belts from an Aspire in my Festiva (I had a set of Festiva belts but they kept locking up), the bottom bolt lines up then you just have to make a small bracket to mount the top bolt. The fun part is though you have to redo your headliner or get a headliner out of a manual belt car and get the A, B and optional C pillar covers.

Switch, you can confirm Aspire front belts fit into a Festiva with that top bracker mod? And they work fine? I've thought this would work for awhile now, but never tried it. Did you leave the center latches alone, or did you replace them too?

              Thanks,

I used Festiva REAR seat belts up front, they arent *right* but they work perfectly.

Be easier just to get an 89 and do a tranny swap.

If you cut off some of the b-pillar plastic trim and remove the auto belts, you can just buy generic seat belts with no other modifications. The ones I got were $99 a pair, were brand new, and fit in perfectly.

Thirdman, what company did you order from? Could you provide a link? Did you not have to make any brackets to fit them on?
