Clear lenses can they still be found anywhere?

They were the normal european tail lights with paint over them... I didn't even want it done, but the shop did it anyways.

My idea would be to remove the lenses from the housing and bodyfill it shut. Then drill a 4" hole in the center of off center of it and mount at the bottom of the hole, a 4" round LED light. My buddy did this on his Neon with a set of Corvette tails and it looked pretty sick; but LED's are better and I know of sets that incorperate turn signals and reverse lights in one setup.

How did they get that paint to stick? They use a grip of flex? I like your lights they are truly unique. I might try what you mentioned. Thanks Simon.

There shouldn't be any flex in the paint on there.... So I really don't know. My guess is when they sprayed the car, they sprayed that too....
