I haven't been driving it as much lately. I go through spurts with my quest and my festiva. There is a definite festiva smell. Maybe a small variation in 88-89 interior smell and 90-93 but there is a smell that IS festiva. It gives me a rush of good feelings/memories. This of course precludes dirty moldy yucky interiors. I had to say that. But man festivas smell soooooooo good.

I really have not thought about how the DeathEgg smells. I will try to notice later when I get in to go to work.

I know old VW's have a smell, which I love. I get in my '69 Fastback, and it has that specific smell (odor? fragrance?) that all old VW's seem to have.

Mine smells like a hayfield at the moment. Used it to pick up a couple of bails of straw for garden mulch. Who needs a truck anyway.

Tho, I will admit to opening this thread with just a bit of trepidation. There were so many directions this thread could have been going, with that title.Last edited by batstiva; 06-12-2010, 02:56 PM.

Mid '90s and up Mercedes' (especially the M class) have the most distinct (and strong) smell of any car I've driven. It's almost like... I wanna say crayons. hard to describe. And no amount of air freshener, tobacco or any other odour can completely mask it.
 Not a bad smell though.

I love getting into mine at the end of the day. Nothing smells worse than a rental car that's just been retired from the rental fleet.

When I got mine, It smelled like a wood pile (the previous owner used it to haul and store firewood). After pulling the interior apart and cleaning everything. it now has a smell like an old hot rod kept in an old garage. I love it.Festiva: Because even my dog can build a Honda.
