  • Name this car!

    Can any one put a name and year on this car? it says Spyder on the side.. i dont know if its a model or not.. this car is beautiful in person, it looks cherry. I could drive one for sure.. the side of the hood scoop reads "350 HP".

    That's a modded Corvair (pre 1965; ie. 1st gen body style). "Spyder" was a trim line name for some Corvairs. I believe a 110 hp flat six was the engine, but I also think some were factory turboed. Not sure.

    The mods involve the front grille and hood bump.

    Corvairs were rear engine rear wheel drive. Here's wiki on them:

        i saw an old dodge at the junkyard and someone spray painted 426 max wedge on the side and all it had was a slant 6 in it

            This one appears to be a possible front engine V8 conversion?

                Yeah, the single-carb ones were 110 HP and the dual-carb were 140 HP. +1 on a Corvette grille.
