  • Ultimate A/C ?

Went for my pre-employment physical for my new job today and parked next to a primer black late 80s F150. A small home window A/C unit was sitting in the sliding glass rear window. He had an inverter inside which the A/C was plugged into! Wish I had a camera with me....I bet that cools the heck out of his standard cab truck!! Cheaper than a new compressor etc. too.....

Hey why not...i bet it's even better on gas since it's not running off the crank like a compressor. Too bad it look ghetto as hell. You could cover the bed with a cap to hide it though.

By the way, ^^^ That's 99.9% city driving

I remeber in the movie "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector" he had a window A/C unit in the back window of his truck.

I think it's a lot common than you'd like to think. I don't think I could ever do that to my vehicle, no matter what it is. lol

I laugh though that they do it, it works. I'm surprised the windows actually hold up though!

I am not sure the Lincoln came with the trunk mounted generator option either. The tail light upgrade is sweet too!

He has totally killed his rear visibility. Woulda put it in the left rear window, and the generator on the left. Opening his trunk must be fun too!
