  • Mercedes gullwing

Last night while walking through my neighborhood there was a car at the curb with a huge silverstar mounted in the radiator. Black and low slung it was impressive. A gentleman then came out of a bookstore and the door opened and it was a gullwing, guy stepped in fired it up and left a 100 foot trail of rubber. It was an AMG Merc and had about the healthiest roar I've ever heard.
Looked it up and it's a Mercedes AMG SLS, 563hp, $300k
In the city I've seen about everthing but this was a first, maybe next life I'll get one.

I'm not sure what that ^^^ is, but it's not the production SLS AMG. Maybe it was a prototype or a show car?

Here is the production AMG gullwing, about $220,000.

If it has boobs or wheels, sooner or later you're going to have trouble with it.

That's the car and in black it looks absolutely sinister.

Yeah I was just telling Bhazard last night how a Mercedes S 65 AMG about blew my doors off when it passed me.

They look like a normal "grandpa" style sedan with dual exhaust. They have 615 hp though!

1993 Festiva L, aspire swapped, selling parts for a BP+T build.

I ran into 2 business guys in an older vert AMG..not sure what model it was it's been so long. I was in my Mustang and we were side by side at a light. I didn't even pay this car any attention other than noticing it was nice...so i wasn't acting up or anything. The light goes green and i take off like usual and next thing i know this thing comes screaming up past me...i put the hammer down and couldn't catch'em for anything and my car was running 12.8s at the time. We only pulled through about 2 gears but it was enough to know i had no chance. I met'em at the next light and we all laughed about it.

Oh...i hate rich people too lol

By the way, ^^^ That's 99.9% city driving

I don't hate them; hey, they have money..good for them. However, I wish I could hang around them to pick their brains and find out HOW they got rich!

that'd be interesting to see, personally I think that'd be cool but you'd have to change so much of the unibody that at some point it'd no longer be a true festiva...

If I had that kind of money I doubt I'd even spend $22K for a car.

                        Cheep cheep cheep...

Oh, but I WOULD spend it on the "Festiva Redoubt." The kind of place where luxury car owners would break their suspension and/or scar up their pretty multi-thousand dollar paint jobs trying to get to. (Not that they would want to though--I'd be fresh outta Armani hot tubs and London trained butlers.)

'93GL "Prettystiva" ticking B3 and 5 speed, backup DD; full swaps in spring!
                        '91L "AquaMutt" my '91L; B6 swap/5 speed & Aspire brakes, DD/work car
'92L "Twinstiva" 5sp, salvage titled, waiting for repairs...
                        '93GL "Luxstiva," '94 B6 engine & ATX; needs overhauled
'89L "Muttstiva," now a storage bin, future trailer project

Unfortunately, one has already been wrecked...

This is the world's first crash involving the new Mercedes SLS Gullwing. It was involved in a head on crash with a common Russian car. Everyone was okay.

                          Location:
                          Moscow, Russia
