Nice! I want a trailer just like that for when I cart down an Escort GT motor, trans and knuckles for Greg to do a conversion on my blue car, a couple of years from now.
90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods
09 Kia Rondo--a Festy on steroids!

Not to hijack your thread but is this the kinda trailor you were talking about earlier?? Looks good BTW!!
I do not consider it hijacking if it is a relevant question!
Yes, this is an example of the trailer I spoke of in the EV festiva thread.
This is nearly the ideal solution for hauling stuff with a festiva.
Ideal would have been an aluminum trailer with a wood aluminum composite deck.
But, for $175 I'll settle for less than ideal.

Actually, the hard part is getting a proper hitch, not one of the crappy bolt to the bumper kind.
Trailer is available at Harbor Freight and Northern Tool, and I know you know where those are Tom.

Even the crappy bolt to the bumper kind would do for a light load, right? Plus you could have a machine shop enhance it with a metal strap that goes to the tow/tie-down points.
BTW those trailers come with crappy-quality paint, so the first thing I would do after purchase is at least clear-coat it several coats with a good enamel.
So I guess the "lady" decided to give you discount out of pity!:p

Yeah, the tongue load would have pretty small. (Go ahead Tom, use your famous line on that sentence)
I suppose it depends on how it is "enhanced".
Might be easier to have the machine shop fab up a "real" hitch.

Yeah, confirm that, it is easily scratched.
Fortunately, for the foreseeable future, it is being garaged.
It is small enough that it can easily be stood on end, provided you have overhead clearance for the tongue beam.

I was gonna come back with the snappy "That was no lady, that was your ex" but then I remembered that she is a member here! (Stivadiva) Man that was close! :tard:

I can't believe your using your good car as a truck now!!
It would work better if the Driver side upper tow point bolt hadn't snapped off.
Hey, it gets a workout in the spring through fall but rests up for winter.
It has a good life and a good home.

Uh, she doesn't seem to think that was such a "snappy" come back!
Might also be because I asked for $50 for the introduction!
I see much pain in my future!

Did you use your "super mega strong overkill " hitch???
Of course, it's the only one I have!
Probably, put as much load on the rear axle as the trail did itself.
Really need to see if I can have another slightly less "study" one made.
With modifications to the mounting point.
If I was really cash loaded I have it made from aircraft aluminum.
