Looking at the last pic, will it have real wheels and tires such that they will make the journey.
I or anyone else might be nervous hauling a car cross country with a spare for a rear tire.

FB71, how about another tag team festiva resue mission?
This one might be a challange to complete in 72 hours!

When you thinking about doing this? If you've got the tow car, and all you need is someone to split the drive, I might be able to get the days off. Assuming FB71 is not available. And assuming we pack plenty of "the nectar of life" .

No plans yet, just considering it!
Better we have a week to to this, with weekends on both ends of the business week.
Hope not to need all that time, but you never know.

Shipped door to door is about $1,000 I calculated fuel at 18mpg and came up with an average price of 300 - 450 depending on fuel price if the car were opperational I could have the thing shipped for about 700 - because its innopp they automatically add 250 to the cost

OK,lets get a handle on potential cost of transport.
                  Assumptions:
round trip from 43912 to LA to Bloomington, IL and back to 43912
estimated at 4885 round to 5,000 miles.
MPG average for out bound and return trip of 25.
average fuel cost $3.00 (might be higher)

Hit the magic button and presto!
I get $600 in fuel costs, alone.

I can do some couch surfing out bound and back, but that must be balanced with increased fuel usage.
                  Estimated hotel costs
Assume 800 miles a day for a single driver (assumptions change with 2 drivers)
and average cost per stay of $75.
I get six nights stay, but I might be able to cut that to three if the flight path can be altered within reason.
So assume $225 for hotel stays.

                  Food
Assume journey takes 6 days (3 out 3 return).
Take two meals per day totaling $25, assuming a single driver, more for two.
                  So food cost are $150
There will be some incidentals like water/snacks/ice for the road, add $30.

                  Total is then $1005
Fresh might be right on this.

here is a weird idea. maybe some racers traveling across country can hook it up behind thier trailer and drop it off. it may help in their expenses in traveling.

I think I got a quote on an Acura RSX from Cali to MI for only $550. I think that was from warehouse to warehouse though.

Might be worth it if you can get 'er done for this kinda price. The whole road trip thing seems way to expensive for a shell, in a cost-benefit analysis perspective.
