Festiva Question on CarTalk

I was listening to CarTalks episode from last weekend when I heard a caller ask about breaks on a 1990 Ford Festiva. If you get a chance to listen, it's segment #5. See if you agree with the answer to this festiva owners question.

Sounds about right to me, esp the bit about a caliper or the ebrake dragging. Never experienced that on a Festiva but I've seen it boil the fluid on a couple of other cars, espcially once the fluid is old and has been contaminated by moisture, and judging by how the "shop" handled her problem I doubt the flushed and filled the system when they did the brakes so she very well could be running on 20 year old fluid. They were right on when they said don't go back to that shop though.
