Rx7 seats?

Hey ,

I tried searching.. I really did.. but the first post it directed me to was one by Bobstad and after 3 pages my brain is overwhelmed lol. Anyway.. anyone ever try swapping older Rx7 buckets into a festy? I found a set at the pick an pull here and they are minty and look sweet. Also a perfect pair of aspire seats either set = $25 per seat. Think I'm going to snag the brake swap off that aspire as well. They have 2 aspires one green one red neither are missing any parts as yet and both 5 speed. The green one is in very nice shape near perfect fenders/front end.

I think that someone has swapped in rx7 seats but i can't remember who, either way i do not remember seeing any "how-to's" on the rx7 seats

I have a pair of '90 RX7 seats in mine. I did what all the guys with Escort seats did- swapped the butt upholstery/foam onto the festy base/track/slider assembly, and bolted the back/top part on. This all went down with a lot more coarse language and blood than it would have with escort stuff- the dimensions on an RX seat are much more different from a festy's than an Escort seat.

However don't let that scare you off- it's well worth it and I just tend to lose blood and use coarse language every time I go to the boneyard.

I'd go with the aspire seats that's what I did with mine it was very easy search if you decide I think that freshtiva did a write up on it
