can't start

Ford Taurus, 03 sohc, battery has tons of juice and the car won't turn over, think it's fuel, any thoughts

Well, for one thing. If it's fuel, the car would still turn over. Will the radio play or will the lights work when you have the key on?

turns but no fire, either fuel or igntion, pull a plug wire and look for spark

No spark at the plug wires, pulled two.
I'm also in the city, no help and parked three blocks away.

That year uses a coil pack with crank sensor. Possible sensor bad but odds are the coil pack is bad. My mom had a Buick with one of those and it was replaced at least 3 times during the 10 years or so that they owned it. At first it would start running eratic then.....

Had the hood open and a Mexican came walking by and asked in broken english what the probem was and I told him, he cranked the car once said uno momento, popped the hood and took a cap (like a tire cap off what looked like a fuel rail, stuck a small object in and said try and the car started. Unfortunately I need a fuel pump.
