Question though, did your parents buy an auto or manual?

Someone on another site I frequent test drove both and said the automated manual is far superior to the conventional manual. The manual felt sluggish compared and he averaged only 19.9mpg with it compared to 29.9 with the auto on a 5 mile city drive.

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I just remember going to the dealer in 1982 or 83 and wanting to buy a Fiesta, and they said it had been replaced by the Festiva. Could have been incorrect information, or maybe it's bad memory. Anyway, that's why I was asking, but maybe it was late 70s early 80s.
