  • Saved a Blue one

Heard about this one going to the crusher from a friend. I told him to tell the guy I would buy it sight unseen. Long story short, picked it up for $300.00. Whats even better, I drove it home. Runs good. I got it for parts but it's too good for that. I'll have to fix it up and put it back on the road. Came with a few extras, tilt column, dual electric mirrows with switch, and has tach. cluster. I also have all the parts to install A/C.

Looks like it was worth saving. Especially if you drove it home.

awesome. We sometimes are astounded by what people will crush around here. Dean saved several and missed a few others.

Yes it is a 54 merc. I picked it up on epay for a 54 ford project. I just love the looks of the fenders and hood, and will try to graft them on the ford.

It's criminal that THAT festy would be crushed!

A couple years ago I saved a white 93L with only 89K in near new condition from the crusher out in Nor-Cal because it wouldn't pass smog. Insane! I gave them $500 and drove it back to Minnesota w/o doing a thing...got 48MPG to boot.

Let's crush more SUV's and save the lil' gems of the road.

                              FX
                              Because....45 MPG.
