Almost everyday i get on youtube and watch festiva videos and by now im pretty sure i've seen all of them about 5 times haha. It's sad cuz i think there's more videos of people destroying them than there are of people building them and stuff. I just think it'd be awesome to see more festiva videos, i know that once i get my car going i'm gonna post alot of videos at the track and such for all of you to enjoy. So if any of you with a sweet build or even a stock festy wanna post some cool vids i would greatly appreciate that

My black 88 in AK is on its last legs, burning oil by the quart. Next summer, I could probably get someone who normally hauls plywood out to rural gravel strips to haul the Festy up to about 10,000 feet in a Shorts Skyvan (see attached photo) and drop it out (through the retractable ramp in the back) onto a glacier. It should show up well bouncing around against the white landscape.
Might even get some skydivers to go out with it and video it from above. Despite what Mr. Newton said about objects falling at the same speed, I think the Festy would go down a bit faster. In any case, it would get pushed out first, just to make sure it doesn't hit somebody on the head. We could probably start the engine before it goes out so you see what an oil burner it was.
Or maybe somebody has already killed a Festy this way before?Last edited by AlaskaFestivaGuy; 08-29-2010, 09:51 PM.88L black, dailydriver
