Scraping noise in front end

I have had this funny grunting / scraping noise ,worse when it is cold sometimes it does it all the time especially over bump's ,I just thought it was a strut ,but the car drove fine ,Yesterday when i attempted to lower my festy I could not believe it someone had put those spring clamps on and it had got around and was caught between the inner fender and the strut on the drivers side ,It was the only one on the car ? well it off, the noise is gone . Maybe the previous owner had a extra heavy passenger and he was trying to compensate the car so it would be level and would not look so out of place. :lol: :lol:
