  • My car is gone, I am just out of the hospital.

So, the other day I was driving my beautiful little car making a turn and just like that got bulldozed over and my whole life flashed before my eyes...If the damage wasnt enough from the wreck, the jaws of life made sure that i would never be driving my little car again.I was in shock so they had to open up my car like a can of tuna to get me out and to the hospital.Luckily I am ok and will live to see another day, but I cant say the same about my festy. I was just finished with my BP rebuild and ready to put it in, had done so much work in preperation and suddenly its all gone to nothing..so i am now without a car and just trying to keep my head up.

I guess festivas just bounce instead of crush. Glad you made it out safe. You can always pick up another shell for your engine.

This is all that matters at the end of the day. We often take for granted having the most basic things in our lives. We may not have $1600 crocodile shoes or expensive exotic items, but at least we still have feet on which to walk and hands with which to touch. The simplest of things are always the most valuable, and sheer life could not be more precious. The power of an individual can never be understated.

Best of luck with everything... we're glad to see you doing okay. Engines are just engines, unless you're Jessie from TFATF. Be glad it's your car that required cutting open and not you!

I'm glad you survived. Look for a dead festiva. To me the fact that you had not swapped the bp yet is great news! You saved a ton of work. Good luck on the recovery and the search.

I'm glad to know you made it out alive as well. The guys are right! We don't go to meets just 'cause we own Festivas, although that's the primary reason. It's all about the people. There are still more Festivas, and I'm sure those that have them for sale will let you know. Keep your head up!

The car did its job. Thats whats important.

Hopefully you get something out of this. My festy was worth 1400 when I got tapped. Yours should be more than that.

Dont forget to complain about your back/neck. Get some chiropractic care paid for a good while. I just got spun around and landed in some snow and got 3 visits to the chiro a week for a good while. Like 3k worth of visits. Best I felt in a while. No doubt you're gonna be hurting for a while. Dont ignore it.

Glad you're okay! Yes, get every little pain checked out pronto! Take care of yourself!

When you are ready, go look for another Festiva for your BP. Who knows, you might find a better, easier to prep shell.

If you can, go get all the parts you can salvage off your deceased baby.

So glad to know you are OK since you are the irreplaceable part. When you got over all the soreness, I'm sure it won't be hard to find another chassis for your swap and then you will be back in the game.
