I drove my festiva to work today after fixing the timing belt and it's ready for the track!!! I should have some videos of it all, as long as my friend can make it and we'll see what kind of times I'll pull tonight
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
Just lower your street tires to 22-25 psi and bog it out of the hole. I have to do this with mine on street tires.
I try to keep from making the suspension/ weight transfer happen too fast. it helps with traction. I've been able to go 13.61 @ 104.5 on 6 month old 195/50/15 kumhos.
That was a 2.19 60' on street tires. My best on Nitto 555r DRs is a 2.01 60'.
I'll rev 4k and dump the clutch without giving it more gas. As soon as it's rolling go WOT.
Thanks for the advice Greg, I have a very hard time getting a 2.3 60', when I ran 14.7 earlier this year my 60' was 2.4, not good at all, so tonight I'll be playing with my launches and basically focus on the launch and the rest should fall into place

The launch is where it's at. I've got over 2500 passes under my belt, and I've beat alot of cars just by knowing how to launch.
Every 1/10th you can knock off of your 60' will = 2/10ths at the end of the track.
And in my car I drop 1/10th for every 40 lbs. So take any extra weight out that you can.
1st run..... wheel hop off the line, popped out of 1st on me and i miss shifted 3rd, ended up with 15.78 @ 95.72 mph.... boooo
2nd run..... 2.29 60ft. 14.32 @ 98.68 mph, much better
3rd run..... 2.27 60ft. 14.20 @ 99.12 mph this was my best run of the night
i made 5 more passes and then on the 5th pass, i broke my tranny  i lost all gears except for 4th!!! i even lost neutral and reverse  when i put it in reverse, the car will not move at all, something has jammed up good inside the tranny, but i still managed to drive it home
I feel as though i could have got my time down a bit more if i was able to make more runs, but i'm fairly happy with the out-come
a pic of the time slip and a video of the run where i broke the tranny are uploading now, i'll post them as soon as there uploaded
