I was able to talk to Karl a while last night, and he called here a little while ago to say he was back on the road... my motorcycle left me stranded yesterday, strangely enough fuel problems as well (I think; a few trips and a bunch of work later the problem stopped without a known cause).

I'm glad he got back on the road! I was hoping to head up there last night to help him but b/c of the bike wasn't able too.

          I'm HOME!!

Had to stay an extra night in Culpeper, VA after replacing Twinstiva's fuel pump. It could have been that or simply the wiring to it just over the cover plate. The PO apparently had been messing with the wires trying to get it to start (the original problem was bad VAF and disconnected inertia switch).

After I replaced the fuel pump, I cranked it four or five times and got nothing. Then I just messed around a bit and finally looked at the wires over the cover plate and cranked her again and she sounded different. Next crank, she started up! I'll leave the new pump in since it seems to be working well, and I'll save the old one for later testing.

I'm going to relax and get ready for work later on, but I'll start a new thread on a cool primordial junkyard I visited and got a few pics of and maybe some of my training over the weekend in Culpeper! (Maybe in the next day or two.)

Thanks so much to Barbara, John, Nate and 92Festy for "being there" at least to talk to and try to set up options, etc. It was a great boost to know I had folks on my side!!
