I have a couple of sets of these and the dual lamp ones too.
The dual ones won't fit without the Mazda 121 front grille.

All you do is replace your current ones with these and get amber globes.
Or use them as parkers.

If you replace the globes, won't they just appear amber? Or is there other wiring on the loom that will allow the lights to become indicators?

You can tap into the indicator wiring. Or delete the repeater on the guard.
Then get small DRL strips to use as indicators.

I don't know what the rules in the USA are.
I see lots of cars have amber parkers so I'm not sure

All good. Yeah I wasn't sure either as I've only had the clear parkers since owning.. I prefer the guard indicators.. Looks a lot nicer and keeps the front uniformly clear across the front
