hey everyone, i was wondering/hoping someone on here is a current alldata subscriber, i am in dire need of a vacuum diagram for a 1989 pontiac grand am with the 2.5. i would like the whole thing because i feel something isnt hooked up correctly. but if thats too much of a job, specifically there is a vacuum line running from the tranny to a hard line, which then runs directly above the power brake booster and stops, i need to know where the vacuum line is supposed to run from there.. i can only assume that it is supposed to go *somewhere* but i dont know where, or to what. please, and thank you. if you need to email it please feel free, mtec007@gmail.com.

My guess would be it probably wants engine vacuum. Thats what the vac line from the trans on my wife's '85 Fiero 2.5 goes to. There is a small pipe on the bottom side of the TBI air cleaner housing that it goes to. Can't really even see it unless you take of the housing. I have Mitchell OnDemand but the only vac diagrams it pulls up are for the emission system
        No festiva for me ATM...

Do you still need this diagram? I can get it at school today if you still need it.

on the housing itself? i will double check again but i only saw one vac hose going there for the map sensor. if its not there i dont exactly know where to get engine vacuum..lol i dont really understand vacuum lines though

thanks a ton to Festivapower5583 for the diagrams, even though they are very cryptic i will have to study them well to use them

its a vent. apparently all transmissions have them, but some are hidden better than others. our "B3" transmissions have them, a small pipe with a metal cap.. just an air vent.

Yeah, all autos have that line (they need to relieve a little pressure as the fluid warms and expands, then allow air back in as the fluid cools and contracts).
