  • @@ Aluminum Wheels @@ Pricing advice PLS

I just picked up a set of four studed winter tires with 80% tread (or so), ON ORIGINAL FESTIVA ALIMINUM WHEELS! (came with chains too) I dont need the wheels, so I want to clean them up and sell them. Please let me know what I should sell these for once I clean them up, and what I should use to clean them.........I would keep them, but I dont think they will help with my gas mileage, lol.

    Here are the wheels!

Try warm/hot soap and water solution with a nylon brush or even a tooth brush to see what might need more agressive efforts or cleaning agents for their removal.
They don't really look too bad.
Looks like grease from the rear spindle nut covers on the outside and regular road grime on the inside of the wheel.
          Nothing too bad at all.

Then you should send them to me as a gift!
I would really appreciate them, you know it is the thanksgiving season and I thank you!:p

Sorry, but Thanksgiving was last month for me!

            Read this.....

Currently, in the United States Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, and in Canada it is celebrated on the second Monday of October .

Thanksgiving in the United States was observed on various different dates throughout history. By the mid 20th century, the final Thursday in November had become the customary day of Thanksgiving in most U.S. states. It was not until December 26, 1941 however that President Franklin D. Roosevelt, after pushing two years earlier to move the date earlier to give the country an economic boost, signed a bill into law, with congress, making Thanksgiving a national holiday and settling it to the fourth (but not final) Thursday in November.

Thanksgiving in Canada did not have a fixed date until the late 19th century, at which time it was typically held on November 6. After the end of World War I, Thanksgiving Day and Remembrance Day ceremonies were usually held during the same week. To avoid the two holidays from clashing with one another, in 1957 the Canadian Parliament proclaimed Thanksgiving to be observed on its present date.

Local yards here charge $12 for those. $6 each for steelies. I hope that doesn't offend/confuse anyone. I know a nice set will bring decent money.

I was just stating about the first post of how much are they worth.

                Also chains=$$
                Studded tires=$$

Unless the tires are more than three years old, I'd think about around $100 for the mounted tires on alloys. I don't know about the chains. Maybe $20 to $40? Never priced chains.

YMMV, part of the world, etc.

Yeah I was thinking of keeping the studded tires (they have over 80% tread), and just selling the wheels.....
