1.3 and 1.6 Ford industrial engines

Has anyone ever compared 1.3L & 1.6L Ford Industrial engines to the B3 & B6?
Look at the fine looking header on this TSG-416 1.6L Ford industrial.

There's also a VSG-413, 1.3L that was used in some Kohler power plants.

I haven't gone any farther than just browsing the I-net.

seeing how Ford industrial engines are made by Ford and our engines are made by Mazda I'd say no, but its worth a shot if you can get one for a good price.

I would guess they are a OHC derivative of the Kent based engines (i.e. vintage Cortina, Fiesta, etc.). I think the Ford Ka has a Kent 1.3 that may be related to these industrials, but maybe not.

Either way, I bet they are a Ford design, like Nerd Racing stated.

1.6 being a cvh head that had turbo option in the 1980's
