  • Aspire Rotor Thickness?

Does anyone have a ballpark number for the minimum thickness of an Aspire MTX front brake rotor? My JY rotors are pretty rusty and I can't find the number on them. I doubt I will re-use them but maybe they have some meat left on them and can still be turned.

    Thanks

Minimum thicknesses for Aspire rotors from my Ford shop manual:

    16mm (0.63 inch) for MTX.

    20mm (0.78 inch) for ATX.

Note: Correction of decimal point made! Thanks Logan. ops:

      Shouldn't that be 0.63" and 0.78" ???? :?

Okay, thanks. My caliper's are measuring around 0.680". So chances are that once the ridges are cut down they will be at or below the min.

I have a bunch of the 3" 3M brake rotor de-glazing discs, I may try and clean them up and run them for the time being.
